Juniper Stream is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) building a fair-trade music streaming platform, modeled after mission-driven companies such as Dr. Bronner's, Ben & Jerry's, and Patagonia. We're helping fix what streaming broke.

Artists deserve ownership.
Record stores deserve a seat at the table.
Fans deserve a real connection to the music they love.

At Juniper Stream, we believe AI art doesn't belong in an art gallery — and for musicians, record stores and streaming platforms are our art galleries. These are the places where people go to experience our work, our culture, and our humanity.

Just as no museum would hang AI-generated paintings beside human-made masterpieces by the likes of Picasso or Dalí, we believe AI-generated music doesn't belong on a streaming platform or in a record store next to masterpieces by artists like The Beatles, Bob Marley, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, or Mozart — nor beside the millions of other works created by human hands, hearts, and voices.

That being said, we are not anti-AI crusaders.

AI helped build this platform. AI can support artists in countless ways — tour routing, accounting, ad campaigns, social media management, release strategies, and more. AI can help the artist.

But it should not be making the art.

It should be helping sell the art.

We're part of a quiet but growing AI ethics movement.

Large AI companies do not seem interested in drawing ethical boundaries around their own products, so it's up to us — the artists, the fans, the community — to decide where AI belongs, and more importantly, where it doesn't.

Juniper Stream is our contribution to that boundary.

Every stream supports the artist directly, and listeners can instantly see which local record stores carry the vinyl of the album they're listening to. Streaming isn't the end of the musical journey — it becomes the beginning of a deeper connection.
